Caterpillar Container handlers are full container handlers which are unequaled in efficiency and lifting capacity.
By combining high performance, stability and modern technology, Caterpillar Container handlers are the optimum choice for unloading and loading full containers. Container Handlers vary from 24 tons to 43 tons. Options include low-mounted cabin at the front or high-mounted in the middle for the excellent handling and visibility.
Rough Terrain Forklift
At construction sites and other types of locations where the surface is not paved, the rough terrain forklift is best. This type of forklift is used to transport materials around lumberyards.
These forklifts are designed for rough terrain. However, the machine is top heavy and has to be handled carefully in rough areas. The machine needs to be level with all tires on the ground when lifting.
At faster speeds, steering is harder. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration does not set speed restrictions on forklifts. Then again, operators are responsible for operating forklifts at a safe speed, specially if driving on rough terrain and when turning.
Not raising a load while operating on an incline will prevent a tip over. The load has to be on the uphill side of the machinery when driving up an incline. If driving down a slope, it is good safety practice to back down.
