Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic lift trucks provide height and versatility. These models are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is called a telescopic boom. The boom allows the person using it to maintain a high degree of control while lifting the cargo to great heights. Standard forklifts can not move the cargo away from and towards the cab of the forklift, whereas a telescopic forklift can allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is normally utilized in construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is required.
In cases needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments referred to as forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that enable the operator to use uniform clamping force when picking up a cargo. It is available with a backrest that protects the loads from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems which don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This type of system is handy for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A lift platform which is meant to raise staff is referred to as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a strap or chain is utilized to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the workers from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
